Mr Charter could be right, maybe
people don't know what the Post Reply button is for or perhaps
they don't know how to use it. So let's try and rectify that
possibility. I am putting myself out here for criticism but my
intentions are good.
step 1: After reading an article
or publications of any kind, to make a reply one must first,
LOG IN. (give nick name and pass word in the two spaces
provided for them). To Log In, go to the "FORUM". to the far
right of the Forum index-> Pool Checkers, click on Log in.
Once you're logged in, you are ready for step 2.
step
2: Go to the bottom of the page of the article you wish to
reply to and click on "Post Reply". A blank page will appear,
there you may type your reply to the article/publication. Once
you've completed your comments, go to the bottom of the page
and click on submit. Your comments will appera before you
shortly and you may check your writings. If you feel you've
made an error or wish to add or delete something then you can
do so by clicking on "edit" and make the necessary correction.
Have fun in making your reply.

It was unbeknowing to me
that this same instructions were posted elsewhere.
Consequently, if this posting is not clear enough for you
additional and perhaps more vivid instructions and more
detailed is listed to the right of the bulletin board (bb)
under help. There you will find: How to Register, How to Log
in, How to Post a new topic, How to Post reply and How to
edit/delete post. | |

Hahaha - you are the second
person to look at the BB Help! But your instruction has a motherly touch

Hey, you are quite right! It was
some time before I began to get the swing of it. Even though
the Help
button is there, you just don't get around to following the
steps. _________________ Charles Thompson

I am especially grateful
that you Mr Charter, and you Mr Pecan made a reply to my
comments/instructions on How to Use the "Post Reply" button.
In addition as to where the original How to was/is located.
Your reply make me feel that somebody is reading and can
appreciate the efforts that all of us are putting into this
site to communicate ideas and help to get them there. It is
not about me, or about Pecan, or about Charter, but it is
about checkers, communicating checkers to the viewing
audience. That's what this site is all about.
Thank
you Mr Charter and Mr Pean for your warm and delightful reply.
You know first hand how a reply is always helpful and
encouraging. I know a couple of viewers read it and brouht to
my attention that it was already posted elsewhere, but this in
my opinion should have been put in a reply. But it worked out
great, I feel good although it was already posted. I believe
we sometimes have to take some viewers by the hand (sot-of
speak). They are like babes, because they don't know nor
understand the mechanics of computer - cyper. I know because I
was like that. Mr Charter took me by the hand and walked me
thru many instructions, he was there for my short-comings, and
believe me I had many. But that's what it's all about, "What
Ever it Takes".
Again thanks for your warm and kind
replys.

Mr. Filippov, the reason I
did not reply is that we discussed your initial post over vog2
messege which I saved. I brought it to your attention that the
help button next to the bulletin board was self-explanatory
and that your post was duplication. I also assisted you with
posting your email address explaining to you that one should
continue to read all of the instructions to adding their name
to the bb's memberlist. I felt that after our discussion and
your efforts to read the help menu for the bulletin board, I
need not respond. That too would have been duplication. We all
have short comings when it comes to completely reading and
following instructions. I must admit, I am also guilty of
failure to read instructions and most times find it easier if
someone would tell me how to do it. Sometimes, I even use
excuses or blame others for my failure in effort to conceal
these short comings. | |

I think Pecan won the big
prize today - he is the first of the players to figure out how
to use the quote tag!
On a sadder note - it is only us
four that write on BB - no other players here. But once you
start writing it gets addictive!

You do error sir, it is not about being
first or last, it is about knowing how it works. In your
bulletin board (bb) Help, I didn't/don't see anything about
how to use the quote button. However, when it is used, it
looks most distinguished. Maybe you should post somewhere how
to use quote button, since it is so often said the help is
there. However, I must admit Mr Charter, had you not made the
observation, I probably would not have realized it's usage, so
thank you very kindly, I'm learning.

This is Mrs. Filippov again
and I think this is very educational. Look what all was
learned: dublication, how to make a quote, how to use the
various help on the bulletin board, and most of it was very
warm and kindly said. I enjoyed very much all the replys that
were made. Thanks to all of you for making my day with such
interesting reading.

You are most welcome Mrs.
Filippov, especially since it was your feminine touch that
started this burst of exchanges! This is how BB should be - a
happy place, with ideas flying, good humor, and respectful
attitude! | |

you asked
All
the help has been written, over and over, thosands of times in
thousands of places! For example when you are in
the Edit Mode you might notice a blue BBCode to
your left under the word Options. Why don't you
click it? When you do you might realize that I can not
possibly provide ALL
the answers; The best I can do is to start you off using
help, but then you should learn to be self-reliant!
